I am happy to announce we will be having Sanford’s second annual art festival May 4th and 5th. I was invited to attend the reception for the St. John’s Festival Of The Arts with some of the participating artists and supporters and patrons. I enjoyed talking with the artists and as always, enjoyed seeing the friends and artists who I come in contact quite frequently.
The lobby of the Marriott;s Springhill Suites was buzzing like a live hive with people coming to see some of the work that will be included in the show. There will be over 100 artists, live music, food, art in action, a chance to bid on the original painting used for the poster by painter, Beatrice Athanas.
Here’s just a sampling of the work you’lll be seeing – it’s only a small fraction.of what will be showing.
Come on out central Florida, it’s an amazing and classy show – come enjoy our restaurants, antique shops and galleries. And stop by Jeanine Taylor’s Gallery on First and look for their newest artist, Tom Abbott, his work will make you smile and he will too, just love the guy! So save one of those days to enjoy with friends and family.

And when you buy a print, make sure to get it framed at Framing 508 Gallery, see Rae Marie! I was into taking backs last night, but Alfredo and Rae Marie always have each other’s back and they have yours when it comes to the best framing around –
Last night built the excitement for what was to come May 4th and 5th, that’s not long. Be prepared to be totally blown away by the festival, and for our little town with the big heart!
